Applywise is operated by Technograte. Technograte is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice — meaning we decide why and how your data is processed.

• Account data — your name, email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your account (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
• CV and career content — the CV text and details you upload or enter, used to analyse your profile and generate matches, cover letters and emails (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
• Usage and device data — such as IP address, device identifiers and how you use the service, used for security, fraud prevention and product improvement (legal basis: our legitimate interests).
• Support messages — used to respond to you (legal basis: performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests).

Payment data is collected and processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and is not covered by this notice.

• Service providers that host and operate the service (hosting, analytics, support tooling).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payment processing, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your CVs and matches at any time in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within one month.

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit who can see personal data.

We use essential cookies required for sign-in and security. We do not use marketing cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
